No doubt, Hibari of the Wind Clan is the most interesting character introduced in these last two episodes. But, gonna be interesting to see how Yuoshichi is butting in into the affairs of 'Gawds' with his new weapon.

Don't count out a surprising twist when that weapon is used, and probably not for the good.

Now, I'm a bit frustrated. Already in the last episode, I would have asked that god about his intentions. Now, they meet again, and he still hasn't done it. That kid can easily step on their feet without even realising it and he doesn't even know what he's allowed to relay to his boss about their meeting...

Well the wind guy seemed to know all of it so he wouldnt approach koushi unless he knew that he would make things interesting for the gods and the only line seemed to be the satellite

The weapon size was rather big for a prototype. Speaking of shooting a projectile, you should probably start with a calibre of 20mm before you scale it up to 122, or whatever this was. Cannons are notorious for Rohrkrepierer (literally barrel busters) and it took a long time to make superguns that could shoot fairly safely. Just think of when black powder was invented and how many centuries it took until it rendered bow and arrow obsolete and how much longer it took to make ship artillery... (I'm talking about WWII-style and not the good old broadside). Also, when you compare the infamous Maus (mouse) with modern MBTs, then they have the same calibre of a cannon and similar performance, but the turret and chassis were so much bigger and the barrel was so much thicker. In order to cram all that firepower into a regular sized tank, they needed better metallurgy and recoil dampeners. Plus, the breech also got shorter not only thanks to the dampeners, but the ammunition being more compact as well, but that in turn increased the pressure spike and overall wear and tear on the cannons. Lastly, shooting HE rounds is particularly difficult, as the explosive, nor its fuse are supposed to be triggered by the violent discharge out of the barrel... You can make them easily too sensitive, or too little (causing many duds, as it was the case in WWII)

So did they use black powder/gun powder/modern explosives here or steam? If it was steam (something they’re very familiar with), you’re also making an assumption they didn’t make a small scale prototype - we simply don’t know because the narrative doesn’t go into the gun’s creation. The projectile itself also not a HE round.

Even if they are familliar with the technology, it requires a prototype, probably multiple at different scales... Things change a LOT with upscaling.
